As a Person Centred counsellor I offer a confidential counselling service that is empathetic, non-judgmental and tailored to each client’s need. This gives my clients the opportunity to reflect on their experiences in a peaceful environment in the Sefton Park area of Liverpool and to explore possible ways forward for personal growth and future emotional health.
I have a wide experience of dealing therapeutically with people of all ages. This includes a long teaching career; supporting people as a pastoral care worker; working for Merseycare as a co-facilitator of psychological self-management groups; as a counsellor in a pregnancy crisis centre; and as a carer for people with both physical and mental health problems.
In addition to running my own counselling practice I am a trained and practising counsellor at a bereavement service in Liverpool. Supporting people through bereavement and grief does not only apply to the death of someone close but also to other losses we experience in life, such as loss of relationships, jobs, status and finance.
I have a Bachelor of Education (Hons) degree and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Number: 241196) and work according to their Ethical Framework. I have an advanced DBS, am fully insured and receive regular supervision to ensure good practice.
